Hi Kay

Rack1Sw2(config-if)#*spanning-tree vlan 3 fo 24*
Rack1Sw2(config)#int f0/3
Rack1Sw2(config-if)#sh
Rack1Sw2(config-if)#
*Mar 3 13:08:01: %LINK-5-CHANGED: Interface FastEthernet0/3, changed state
to administratively down
*Mar 3 13:08:02: %LINEPROTO-5-UPDOWN: Line protocol on Interface
FastEthernet0/3, changed state to down
Rack1Sw2(config-if)#no sh
*Mar 3 13:08:07: %LINK-3-UPDOWN: Interface FastEthernet0/3, changed state
to down
Rack1Sw2(config-if)#

**Mar 3 13:08:07: set portid: VLAN0003 Fa0/3: new port id 8003*
**Mar 3 13:08:07: STP: VLAN0003 Fa0/3 -> listening*
Rack1Sw2(config-if)#

*Mar 3 13:08:09: %LINK-3-UPDOWN: Interface FastEthernet0/3, changed state
to up
*Mar 3 13:08:10: %LINEPROTO-5-UPDOWN: Line protocol on Interface
FastEthernet0/3, changed state to up
Rack1Sw2(config-if)#
**Mar 3 13:08:31: STP: VLAN0003 Fa0/3 -> learning*
Rack1Sw2(config-if)#
**Mar 3 13:08:55: STP: VLAN0003 Fa0/3 -> forwarding*

it took the 24 seconds per each state

So you have the correct answer in your email

Thank
Victor.
