I think guys in Internetwork expert didn't review their solution guide. I
really don't understand
IE guys how they decide to use loopback of physical interface address

LAB 9 BGP section

For AS 100 R1-SW2-R6 there is no redundentt path or task doesn't say
anything they are using loopback addrees for IBGP peering , where as AS
65057 R5 and SW1 they are also IBGP peers and they are using physical
interface address.

If's confusing in same lab they keep on changing things..
