Hi All,
I have questions in BGP route filering and
summarization below...
Two ASs, AS 55 and AS 111
AS 55 have three routers, R1, R3 and R4
AS 111 have two routers, BB1 and BB2
BB1 is directly connected to R4
BB1-----LAN-----R1-----FR----R3-----LAN-----R4----LAN-----BB2
IP addresses:
BB1: 150.100.1.254 (Eth0)
BB2: 150.100.2.254 (Eth0)
R4: 4.4.4.4 (Lo0)
BB2 (e0 IP address is 150.100.2.254) advertises
197.68.X.0 routes to R6 (in AS 55).
R4 have bgp routing table as follow...
Network Nexthop LP Weight Path
*> 197.68.0.0/20 0.0.0.0 100 32768 254 i
*> 197.68.1.0 150.100.2.254 0 0 254 i
*> 197.68.2.0 150.100.2.254 0 0 254 i
*> 197.68.3.0 150.100.2.254 0 0 254 i
*> 197.68.4.0 150.100.2.254 0 0 254 i
*> 197.68.5.0 150.100.2.254 0 0 254 i
*> 197.68.6.0 150.100.2.254 0 0 254 i
*> 197.68.7.0 150.100.2.254 0 0 254 i
*> 197.68.8.0 150.100.2.254 0 0 254 i
*> 197.68.9.0 150.100.2.254 0 0 254 i
*> 197.68.10.0 150.100.2.254 0 0 254 i
Questions 1:
Generate a minimum supernet address and more specific
addresses to R1 and R3 (Don't using /16). So that R1
and R3 will have supernet address point to R4 in BGP
table.
Question 2:
Configure so that R1 and R3 will have that supernet
address point to 150.100.1.254 (BB1) as nexthop. But
150.100.2.254 is still be alternative nexthop.
Pls help~~~
