I believe mainly it is a compatibility issue. Ease of use across all
platforms.
Regardless of the type of serial interface, it should support 64000 clock
rate.

I don't know why Internetexpert always use clockrate 64000 for all PPP
circuits. AFAIK PPP can work upto full port speed 1.5MB icase of T1 and 2MB
incase of E1.
Could some one clarify why clockrate is always 64000 used in IE workbook ?
may be I am missing something here ?
