George,
can you chek your igmp join command. Your router output indicates that you
do not have any group members (prune flag) attach to it.
I lab it up your example and I got this output:
(*, 224.0.1.40), 00:30:16/00:02:56, RP 2.2.2.2, flags: SJCL
Incoming interface: FastEthernet0/0.10, RPF nbr 192.168.10.2
Outgoing interface list:
FastEthernet0/0.20, Forward/Sparse, 00:16:55/00:02:56
Can you post your router config, so we can try to solve this issue?
hth,
srdja

Subject: Multicast: 224.0.1.40 shows for outgoing interface !!
hello group,
on a HS topology, my spoke indicates that the 224.0.1.40 address is pointing
to NULL for the outgoing interfaces. I am using a sparse-mode. and an
ethernet interface on the spoke is joining an igmp group. any idea what
could be the issue ?
