Sami,

I always do and have seen it done that way. I know it
can be turned on and off on a per-DLCI basis. So I
probably more habit bound.

Let me ask you a question:

What if you are asked to not accept inverse-arp, but
not use the command no frame-relay inverse-arp.

Now how would you approach this dilemma?

It may help you consider different avenues based on
your initial question and help you understand
inverse-arp a bit more.

Also consider this, inverse-arp can be enabled and
disabled on a per-DLCI basis, but also a per-Protocol
basis, so what if you had multiple requirements on the
same phyical link?

The plot thickens.

I am of the understanding that by disabling
inverse-arp on the physical interface the logical
interfaces are now bound the same by default, however,
disabling inverse-arp on a per interface and also per
protocol is probably not a bad idea.

That said, I find myself, thinking to lab it, jus to
ensure the results 100%.

Cause, I tend to think of times that I have enabled
IPv6 for instance and still disabled inverse-arp on
the DLCI just in case.

But you know, in finality, this would be something
that might waste time and mental energy in the actual
lab, unless they gave some hint that is might matter,
in which case I'd probably try both methods really
quickly on one and only one router.

Curious now that you bring it up.

I've spent more time writing, than it takes me to
verify.

I always wonder why people ask questions that take
only a minute to verify anyway... Are we not happy
with our own findings?

Another curious matter...

Later...

Less than 42 hours or so to go...
