Hi ,
I notice that when i ping to a multicast address the source router sends a
ping from each pim interface explaining the multiple replies. However i
notice sometimes the reply is to each of the sources and sometimes it is
just to the outgoing interface. Even if i specify a source interface on the
ping command sometimes the replies still come back to the outgoing interface
if a debug ip icmp is turned on.
Is this expected behaviour?
