Hello group,
Just to let everyone know that I passed the lab in Brussels yesterday
7th June 06. This was my second attempt, I thought'd Id done it on my
first attempt but missed by two points. The lab I took yesterday was
very different to my first lab, on the way home I'd talked myself out of
all the points and convinced I'd failed, got home, and kept looking at
my profile expecting the worst..at midnight still no result?
Got up this morning at 5am, logged onto my profile, and their it was
Certified and my number 16366.
What where my tactics, well after passing the written on 22nd December
last year. I decided on the Internetwork Expert Workbook, which I can
wholly recommend as the labs are challenging and the solutions are well
presented. I was studying between 5 - 6 hours a day locking my self my
room and tapping away at my keyboard.
As I said before I failed my first attempt on the 4th May, but I'd
thought I done enough study, 4 hard months of study I thought I was
ready, but alas I wasn't, the lab experience itself wasn't that bad, but
the nerves and making something it actually wasn't, I made it harder
than it was, but I did the only decent thing, was not to let this
monster beat me and get back on the horse and rebook. So I did and
passed yesterday.
The advice I took from group study, especially Leigh Harrison, was on
entering the Lab, get yourself a coffee and read it cover to cover to
get the cogs turning and get over your nerves
All I can say to everyone, is keep at it. I only had the disappointment
of failing the lab once, and that was hard to take. My second attempt, I
decided not to put too much pressure on myself and just give it my best
shot.

And the best thing - Ive done it before the world cup
Come on England!!
