Here is my two cents.  I think the "documented" most attempts at the R&S lab
is 19 times.  So "documented" ranges would be from 1 to 19 tries.  I got
hung up with thinking the "average" was to pass in three tries.  That was
not a good thing.  I started to put either to much pressure on myself
thinking "I should have it by now", or over relaxed thinking "this should be
the attempt when I pass".  Tell your friend this, who cares how many times
he/she has tried and failed.  Just keep on, keeping on till you get it.
