 If they say you can't use network then redistribution probably will not work. The wording I tend to see is put network w.x.y.z in ospf area X without using the network command. This would tell me A) redistribution is probably not what they are looking for. B) I would go with interface command IP OSPF 1 AREA X

 Now if an area is not specified then redistribution is all good.
