Feras -

Authentication in OSPF will be different with text and md5. The
authentication in md5 is not disruptive, if you migrate the keys (adding
a new key, before removing the old one). It will use the youngest key
that is in common with neighbor. So, if you are going to change keys
you can do this by adding a new key at one side of the link, and then
the other. My understanding is that I believe that the text version
cannot be done this way without being disruptive, due to the fact that
non-md5 keys in OSPF don't carry a key # (only one key at a time). HTH.

Subject: OSPF Authentication keys

All,

How do we control what key is being used to authenticate the
adjacency? If we have multiple key configured. Is changing the OSPF
keys disruptive?. Thanks.
