Bridging over a Serial Interface

Hello folks,

Lets say you have two routers connected via a serial interface running HDLC
encapsulation.
When you enable bridging over the interface (via the bridge group command)
are the packets encapsulated with some other frame type before encapsulating
with HDLC?

In other words, does a bridged packet look any different from a routed
packet?

TIA
