I always stayed at Embassy Suites Milpitas. Its ~1 mile from the
facility (down Great America Parkway which turns into Tasman), and for
$120 a night, you get suite to sprawl your crap across, high speed
internet, free breakfast, and the managers reception the night before
(free beer); though some might suggest against the free beer the night
before. 8)
Myself I always found a nice 5 mile run up the river bed that's adjacent
to the hotel followed by a few free beers quite relaxing.

Homestead Suites on Cypress Dr. in Milpitas. It is by 880 and 237,
across from the ITD buildings. They might even extend you Cisco's
discount if you say you are staying there to visit Cisco.
