Hi Guys,
I am working on a multihomed network solution with four links to internet, I
have two solutions in mind one BGP another F5 Big IP link controllers.
Running BGP will add administrative over head and requires high end routers
to be bought, F5 Big IP link controllers are also expensive but it give us
an option to optimize outgoing traffic too which cannot be achieved through
BGP so efficiently.
if using BGP four links needed to be terminate on one router, which again
cause a risk of single point of failure, or i need to use to routers with
each 2 links terminated and needed to third router to load balance the
traffic which also getting expensive as F5 solution with out having features
F5 outgoing traffic optimization.
I am not sure that if I used cisco 3800 series router to run BGP those
roters will be efficient or not, i am gonna have 2 2mbps links one 512 and 1
1mbps links to 4 different ISPs in which two are serial links and 2 are VSAT
links.
Your valuable input will be appreciated.
