OT - ABR instead of CBR at ATM Interface on CBR ATM Line

Hello Friends,

 I have CBR ATM line from ISP. Since, my router doesn't support CBR option
and I cant't go for upgarde as well, because it requies Memory and Flash
upgradation as well.Therefore, Someone has suggested to me use ABR instead
of CBR on CBR ATM line.
  I want to know about what will be the advantage or disadvantage of using
ABR instead of CBR on CBR ATM line ??? Will it be any issue like performance
or anything else??

Any help will be appricable.
