I think he has some good points, if in a round-about
fashion :)

My thoughts, the CCIE cert is not in a downward
spiral by any means. Just go to D.C., job's
everywhere and they all pay over 100-115k, even more
if you have a clearance in some instances.

The CCIE isnt going on the same route as the MCSE,
Cisco wont let it. Cisco's cert program is by and
far the best one out there. It's a main part of
their business model, the cant afford to let it
slack.

I've met CCIE certified individuals that were not
quite up to par in MY view. That's their problem,
they are indeed the chosen few. They choose to NOT
learn more after they get the certification. It's a
learning process that even continues after you gain
your number.

I had an MCSE and many others at one time, I let
them lapse. I'm not shameful of it, the MCSE was
another learning step in my training. I just chose
to not pursue that avenue any more.

I try to not analyze too much, makes your head hurt
and doesnt leave space for all that good networking
knowledge that needs to be sucked up!

It's all good!
