policing options in MQC

Hi Group,

The are 3 different options available,

i know that cir and rate keyword gives the option of
specifying a percentage

and "police cir" has the additional option of using
"pir"

============
police [value]
police cir [value]
police rate [value]
============

Other than these, i am puzzled by which ones to use at
which situations, anyone can explain this?
