I see, I was taking the first paragraph to be the question, the rest to be
Mike's assumptions. All in the interpretation I guess :)
A simple way to look at setting the minimum Tc is that the lowest possible
value is 10 milliseconds, if you try to set the Bc to a value that would
equate to something lower than 10 milliseconds, the router still configures
a Tc of 10 milliseconds, so if you want to make sure you get the minimum Tc,
just set the Bc really low and you will get it.
For example if you have a CIR of 512K, a Tc of 10 msec works out to a Bc of
5210, but if you set the Bc to be 500 for argument's sake, the Tc is still
set to 10 milliseconds by the router.
