I've heard of about it...

But last time I checked my local office either has not heard of it or did not do it...

What you are referring to is ASET.

Advanced System Engineer Training.

Cisco does sponsor a website where partners can go and take practice exams.

They only cater to Cisco and to get access you must go through the process...

I am not more privy than that.

Now if you happen to be affiliated with a Cisco Partner Organization, then I might be prompted to point you towards PEC.

This Cisco Site (which only partners can access) is for training in a variety of subjects up to and including CCIE Training - Some if FREE and some is not.

They do have scenarios in a variety of the IGP's, BGP, Multicast and QoS that one might find interesting to try.
