Hmmmm.....this can get a little religious :)

I know of at least one large-scale service provider MPLS backbone in which both OSPF and IS-IS are used (in different regions)!

The fact of the matter is that both can be good as MPLS backbone IGPs, even when using MPLS-TE. I personally prefer IS-IS, but that's just me.

Anyway, here's a good, though slightly dated, comparison that may help:

....it is not specific for MPLS backbone IGPs, but it may still be useful.
