Have you tried changing the configuration register? It sounds as though
the tweak of the config-reg is what your missing as for what the value
should be I don't know for sure, maybe 0x2124. I would search on it.

Subject: boot up from tftp server
Hi, I am having problem with 2610XM router to boot up from tftp server.
Since flash memory doesn't have enough space, I am trying to boot up
from tftp server.
However, everytime I reboot the router, it comes up with "rommon>"
prompt and I have to do "tftpdnld" command to boot up from tftp server
manually.
How can I set up the router so that it boot up from tftp server?
I put the following command, it doesn't work.
boot system tftp /c2600-ipvoicek9-mz.124-5a.bin 10.212.0.1 !
ip tftp source-interface FastEthernet0/0 ip tftp boot-interface
FastEthernet0/0
Thanks in advance.
