Anis,
I removed that command " ip mroute 54.1.2.254 255.255.255.255 54.1.2.254"
already.
I had it in just for trying out certain things, but later understood it
doesnt help.
I tried the command you had given me but the same output in the sh ip mroute
on R6.
R2 does have reachability to 54.1.2.254 on R6. I am able to ping it from R2
as well.
Kinda very confusing this multicast topic.
