RE: EIGRP K-Mismatch values ?

I'll try to keep the suspense down a bit, although looking a little never
seems to hurt! Debugs exist under "debug ip eigrp" and "debug eigrp" just
to keep things simple!

Unfortunately, as the vagueness of the Cisco documentation lets us know,
there are a few reasons for K-values to show a mismatch, but the difficult
side is that there is no great command to learn what the values of the other
side are through debugs!

You must have access to the other router and use "show ip protocols" to see
the information. (or at least I haven't dug far enough to find one in some
suboption!)

If this were to appear on a lab near you, I would think that there would be
other information lurking around on the lab that would give you a hint to
something other than the defaults (bandwidth & delay) were used. Either
that, or hook up a sniffer on the link and see what gives (I wouldn't count
on that!). As with many things we find (both good and bad), the devil is
in the details. The exam in general is always fair. That doesn't make it
easy, but it may mean that more time should be spent on reading those
details, hunting for them, and if nothing else, asking the proctor to make
sure you understand everything being asked of you.

Just my two cents for the evening... Off to find something on TV to numb
the brain a little (grin).

Cheers,

Thanks Jason,

A good tip, I was however asking about a debug, as Scott had indicated that
a debug command would help.

Cheers

Chris
