Is this configured on all the routers, or, the router that is configured as
the RP? Are you using static or auto-rp?

ip pim spt-threshold infinity group-list 6, where access-list 6 permits the
specific group I am having problem with.

        I saw (S,G) entries in share tree routers where pim spt-threshold is set to
        infinity for the group G throughout the multicast routers between sender and
        receiver, and I want to understand the reason behind it.
