Which one to believe, Configuration guide or Command reference?

I'm panicing seeing conflicting values for dhcp ping
timeout.

On Configuration guide, it reads:
Ping Packet Settings
...
...
By default, the DHCP server waits 2 seconds before
timing out a ping packet.

On Command reference, the same thing is described as
500ms for default:
Defaults
500 milliseconds

If I'm asked to double the default then I'll have to
make the tough choise... coins in my pocket.

Your suggestion (other than a dice) will be
appreciated!
