auto-rp is used with sparse-dense-mode
static rp is used with sparse-mode
when using sparse-mode and auto-rp you need to configure autorp listener on all routers and advertise auto-rp to them.
lookup cco for doc quick multicast if you can not find it ping me back and i will find for you.
