Control+shift+x once or twice by itself should do it.

Subject: Cancelling a Traceroute or a Ping

Hi everyone,

To knowledge, the escape sequence to end a ping or a traceroute is
Ctrl-Shift-6 and then X. The only problem is that this is also the escape
sequence to end a reverse Telnet session; because I'm using a terminal
server to access all of my routers this escape sequence only kicks me out of
my reverse telnet session and then when I go back into it the trace is still
going.

Any ideas?
