Just hit CTRL-SHIFT-6 twice (dont hit X after you hit it the first time) -
that should do the trick

or

Do you have access to the terminal server? If so, you can change your
escape sequence on the terminal server to something else.

Subject: Cancelling a Traceroute or a Ping [bcc][faked-from]

Hi everyone,

To knowledge, the escape sequence to end a ping or a traceroute is
Ctrl-Shift-6 and then X. The only problem is that this is also the escape
sequence to end a reverse Telnet session; because I'm using a terminal
server to access all of my routers this escape sequence only kicks me out of
my reverse telnet session and then when I go back into it the trace is still
going.

Any ideas?
