As far as I know, landed immigrants should get an easy way to secure an
US visa, the only requirement was to keep this landed immigrant status
at least 6 last months. Just check with the nearest US consulate since
in Vancouver, BC (where I checked that back in Dec 2003) it would take a
couple of weeks to process the case anyway.
