Timers are driven by the root bridge. They should also be configured on the
secondary root just in case the primary goes down.
If your goal is to achieve fast convergence, I suggest you go to RSTP.

Hi Group,
I have a little questions about STP - how I can reduce (learning and
listening) interval to 5 sec on some port, where I must to do it? In
global configuretion or on interface?
I think that I must to change stp timers:
Hello Time 2 sec Max Age 20 sec Forward Delay 15 sec
Hello to 1 sec, and Forward to 4 seconds - this is minimal value...
Or I must change diameter on root bridge for this Vlan:
spanning-tree vlan XX root primary diameter 2-7
?
TIA!
