RE: Any predictions for the next CCIE lab update?

Those type of large scale changes typically do not occur very often. I would
say in the 1 - 1 1/2 yr range. Thinking back over the years I recall having
to ditch my cisco token ring switches when token ring was removed. Then
about a year later I ditched my catalyst 5500 switches due to the move to
3550 switches. More recently they removed ATM from most tracks. As for
topics, the big changes I recall were the removal of Appletalk and then
later on IPX and recently the removal of topics like IGRP and DLSW.

It's a lot of work for Cisco to make these changes to the equipment racks
and to the exams so they certainly can't do them too often.

Here's an easier question,

Historically how frequently have they updated the lab? (I'm talking
significant changes like adding IPv6 or removing ATM not small changes like
adding a new command specific to 12.4)

Once every 6 months, once a year, etc...?
