Scott, the Brian's, etc... do not outright send marketing emails to the
group study lists.
They DO put signatures in their emails, as is perfectly acceptable.
I think everyone is a bit worried that the content will disappear from the
list, and it will be filled with advertisements for rack rentals, bootcamps,
and other items related to the CCIE.
Just my .02,

Dude, I agree with you. Personally, I have no problem with somebody
advertising a service on here so long as it is related to our topic and that
person participates in the list. Would we ever deny Scott, the Brians,
Brad, Bruce, etc. the opportunity to add a plug now and then?

I was thinking the same thing. But will refrain from the comment I wanted
to make.
Here is the deal with me. I am studying for my CCIE as well and have failed
it twice, almost three times but I chickened out. I had two racks and
figured I would rent them out to people LESS FORTUNATE than I. This is NOT
my business, it started as a way to help other people and pay for my gear
and hydro.
Now, some of you say this is a marketing scheme. Well, the 300 plus emails
I received from people yesterday asking for time say different. The 2
people that got their CCIEs on my racks say different.
If you see this as marketing Spam, please delete it. But dont preach about
it.
There are many people trying to get the numbers, and not all of them can
afford thier own racks. My racks are paid for, and my racks are cheap and
people need that. I would think, above anyone else, you poeple here would
recognize the investment.
Give it a rest and let the people who need this help and service use it. As
far as spam goes, when was the last time I sent one of these emails out ?
Thats right, it was quite a while.
