Re: change in the CCIE lab exam environment... search is

Not that we need to go into this any further, as I believe anyone who
understands what being a CCIE means understands this "feature" is more like a
distraction. I thought the proctors' comment to me was insightful and honest,
and some of the funniest things are true!

Someone emailed me offline - commenting about another vendor's search
engine...
I replied;

Ironically, Cisco's "advanced search", which a lot of people don't seem to
know even exists?
http://tinyurl.com/fl3tk

Is powered by "Google"
And THAT would certainly never be available in the lab... unless Cisco bought
Google... nothing is impossible!

BTW - I try to plant a tree for every version I have printed out, I have a
small forest growing :)
Happy Readings!

RE : change in the CCIE lab exam environment... search is gone----that is not
right.agreed,

I keep the doc cd up when I do practice labs and such, I always try to find
the answer on the cd if I dont know it...before looking at the answer key.

Best way for me was to use it while practicing scenarios!

  I totally agree with you,

I never use the search function, I think it slows
you down actually. There is no faster way to find
the info than just knowing where it's at.

I printed out the entire doc cd (12.2, 12.3 and
12.4) and arranged it into 3 ring binders. Then I
went through each and every page...tedius, but I
found it's really the best way to learn.
