Marc,
Thank you for sending me the photo of 32M flash. It is the same as what i
got. Thank you so much!!! Would you mind to look at my problem to upgrade
Flash? Thanks!
Brian,
I bought two from ebay. I also tried another one. Under "Copy tftp flash",
It finished erasing flash, but when it was writing to Flash, i got this
error msg
"Loading c2600-js-mz.122-15.T17.bin from 192.168.1.100 (via
FastEthernet0/0):
!
%Error copying flash:/c2600-js-mz.122-15.T17.bin (No space left on device)"
"Sh flash" shows 32M free.
Man, it gave me a headache. I do not know what i did wrong. I have to stop
doing it today and continue tomorrow. I have a couple of things want to
clear with you guys.
1) The BootRom is 12.2 (10r)1, it should support 32M Flash for 2600, right?
2) After replace new bootrom 12.2 (10r)1, i replaced 32M flash and reboot
Cisco2620, it could not detect new flash, only show 32K. Is it supposed to
like this?
3) By using "tftpdnld -r", i load 12.2(15)T17 for Cisco 2610MX ISO (
c2600-js-mz.122-15.T17.bin) into DRAM. It loaded successfully. Per "sh ver",
the router detects 32M flash.
4) Then, i gave "copy tftp flash:" try to load the IOS into Flash, i got two
different errors:
a. for the first 32M flash module, the error is ""System flash write
protected"
b. I tried another 32M flash module, the errors occured after erasing flash
and it shows "Error copying flash:/c2600-js-mz.122-15.T17.bin (No space left
on device)"
5. Do i need to reset bin on system board when i upgrade BootRom?
I appreciate yout time to look at my trouble. Thanks!
Joshua
