Hi guys,
As anyone who has taken Cisco's ICND class may recall, a switch will use one
of the above transmission modes to forward frames.
Given how fast switches are today - wire speed - who cares which mode is
used?
Does it ever matter?
If we compare the latency of the fastest mode, Cut-thru, to the slowest
mode, Store & Forward, is the difference big enough to even measure?
Assuming it does matter for some reason, is there a show command that tells
which mode is being used and what is the command to change modes?
TIA, Tim
