Is the VPN 3002 connecting to a Cisco VPN 3000 Concentrator? If it is, the VPN 3000 is probably configured for "Interactive unit authentication". To verify, in the VPN 3000 concentrator go to Configuration | User Management | Groups | HW Client tab and see if "Require Interactive Hardware Client Authentication" is checked.

                Dennis,
We have had the exact same problem with our 3002. It seems to be a
                "security" feature .

I am using a Cisco 3002 VPN Hardware Client to build a VPN to a IOS router.
No problems there, the tunnel is up and passing traffic.

My issue is that the VPN 3002 doesn't seem to be able to save the password.
It will save everthing else except for the password.

I must be missing something, anyone out there run accross this before ?

                Thanks,

                Dennis
