The Cisco answer is that the subnet mask has to match
the size of the subnet into which you are translating.

That said, I am still not sure this does anything useful at times :-)

   Short question, short answer.
   Help me understand for what reason in ip nat pool statement exist
netmask/prefix-length keyword. NAT translate local src/dst ip/port to global
src/dst ip/port. All of local ip defined in acl or static statement. Nothing
is use netmask.
