Hi,
The moment you config second-dot1q any for the router, all
references will point to the inner tag. So when you attempt connecting to
vlan 335 from the router, it attempts connecting to a inner tag of 335 and
not the SP vlan 335.

Try creating another subif for the sp vlan (I have not tried this, pls check
on the lab setup)

Rohit Shetti

Sorry for the typo mistake

But as soon as I configure "encap dot1q 335 second-dot1q any" I cannot
communicate with the vlan 335 on the SP switch.

Thanks

Subject: QinQ

Hi,

Is anyone using QinQ for the Metro services on a production network ?

I have a following scenario

Iam try to lab up a scenario where I have 3500XL as CPE , sending vlans 10
to 250.

This is connected to 3524 with asymmetric link deploying dot1q tunnel.

And 3524 has only one vlan i.e vlan 335 for passing all the customer
vlans.

When I connect this 3524 to another 3524 with a dot1q or ISL trunk , I can
get all the customer vlans to another 3500 XL works fine.

But I wanna connect it to a router in between and map the Service Vlan with
the ethernet subinterface and send all the customer vlans via that.

But as soon as I configure "encap dot1q 335 second-dot1q any" I can
communicate with the vlan 335 on the SP switch.

Any ideas ?

Thanks

Vishal
