Hey all,
Maybe a little off-topic, but I squeaked by my recert exam back on
Wednesday. I've been thinking about taking the Security lab sooner or
later, so I went with that, rather than R&S to recert. I deal with a
bunch of security stuff at work plus I've passed some of the CCSP tests,
so I'd consider it a strong point. Used a couple different Cisco press
books to prepare (the ones written by Benjamin and Malik, can't remember
the titles at the moment). The weird part was I thought I was breezing
through the test, and would probably end up with an 85 or so (like 2
years ago when I took the same test). I was really surprised when I saw
I got a 71! All I can say is it's a tough test that covers a lot of
odd topics. At $300 a shot, it's definitely a test you don't want to
have to take too many times. The Boson tests for it cover the subjects
pretty well, might not be a bad idea to give that a shot a couple weeks
before your scheduled test to see how your preparation is coming along.
But it doesn't cover all the topics though. Just a heads up in case
your expiration date is coming up...
