Hi,
7.6 can be very nasty if you decided to configure ip pim sparse-dense mode
as a "best practise" on task 7.2. This way they try to force you to read
ahead, which is very important. I would be surprised if task 7.6 is on the
next page :-)
The same counts for IGP routing, sometimes a subnet is not included in the
IGP domain but connectivity is required. If you read ahead you'll find
something like a task for natting that subnet.
Regards,
Henk

Onderwerp: sparse mode and sparse-dense mode
In IEWB-R&S V1 Lab 4 Task 7.2 and 7.6
7.2 Configure PIM sparse mode on the following interfaces.
7.6 Do not enable sparse-dense mode on any interface.
7.7 The use of multicast static routes is permitted.
1- If he has stated in 7.2 that we have to configure sparse, why does he
state that we should not enable sparse-dense mode ?
2- What is the benefit of mentioning 7.7,,,,though static route has not been
configure in the solution ?
