Hi, Victor

I'm currently studying IPv6, too.
Several RFCs are really must read.
Highly recommend RFCs are 1887(Detailed describe why should we use the
hierarchical and structured ipv6 addresses) & 2373(address representation) .
Also Cisco's ABC of IPv6 is good:
http://www.cisco.com/application/pdf/en/us/guest/products/iosswrel/c1127/cdc
cont_0900aecd8018e369.pdf

I really agree with that "Knowing Why before how" --- by Brian.
I lost 5 points from my last attempt, just because I use the wrong prefix
length.

HTH.

Subject: IPV6 Address / Prefix.

Hello List, I'm confused about the IPV6-address/Prefix representation, is
there any logical math that could help me break the prefix from the address
structure part?

Where can I find a related RFC about this?

Thanks in advance

Victor.
