That is because "ms" is being interpreted by the IOS as the command
"mstat". You can type "telnet ms" or change the hostname.

IE-AS#ms ?
  Hostname or A.B.C.D Source to trace route from
  vrf Select VPN Routing/Forwarding instance
  <cr>

Subject: Configure APC MasterSwitch with Cisco 2511

Group,

I bought a used APC MasterSwitch AP9210 for the lab. When i tried to
config
Reverse Telnet to the Master Switch, i could not make it work. What i
did is
add this command line to 2511 router " ip host ms 2007 192.168.1.20".
When i
access it from 2511 by type "ms", it started to ask me Source ip,
destination ip..blah..blah.

Can somebody give me some suggestion?

Thanks,

Joshua
