Hi, all.
Even though the switchport is set on other than dynamic mode for trunk ports
the DTP will be sent out of the port.
(Refer to P.152 Note on CCNP Self-Study CCNP BCMSN Exam Certification Guide by David Hucaby)
So, the cases are to be;
(1) For access port, following command is required.
switchport mode access
(2) For trunk port, following commands are required.
switchport encap dot1q (or isl)
switchport mode tr
switchport nonegotiate
