Hi, folks
Just for in case if you were prohibited to use sparse-dense-mode with
auto-rp.
I had an experience of using "auto-rp" + "sparse-mode only".
There is a catch-22 issue in this situation.
You could overcome this restriction by using "ip pim autorp listener" on the
appropriate routers.

If the question says that the RP has to announce itself, then its either
Auto RP or BSR. I would put BSR down as being simpler (and quicker) to
configure than auto rp but if using sparse-dense mode, there's probably not
much in it. The two groups 224.0.1.39 and 224.0.1.40 for Auto RP will be
propagated using dense mode while the other groups that the RP is announcing
itself for will use sparse mode.

Configure the RP and Mapping agent for Auto RP
Configure the RP Candidate and BSR Candidate for BSR

If using only sparse mode then BSR would be the simplest and quickest IMHO
