It's really not a bummer because he may not be qualified as per Cisco to
install the flash himself anyways ;-) See below:

Does Cisco certify these people (electronic or electromechanical
technician)? Would that be CCET and CCEMT? Also how about the CCECWPW?
Cisco Certified Electronic Circuitry and Wiring Practices Wizard.
I'm afraid to even look and see what qualifications you need to actually
install the IOS on the flash.

how bout just getting another 16mb flash stick for $20 on ebay? i don't
think you can combine two physically separate memory locations to load a
single IOS....that would be like loading half of WinblowsXP on C: drive
and
the other half on an external USB drive.
