1. Varies by location. 8:30am in San Jose I think, and 7:30am (7:15
really) in RTP. Not sure about others.
2. Again, varies. Approximately 4 hours into your lab, and about 20-40
minutes. Some labs bring you food, others send you out.
3. Yup, as many as you want/need (just no calling TAC!)
4. I've heard different reports on this. I have always brought my own, a
brand new pack (red, green, blue, black) in package to show not "tainted".
5. Varies by location and number of candidates/exam types given
6. Queuing! :) Each question/time though should be very short. You won't
have a conversation for an hour!
7. Yup, and I would encourage it! You just can't bring those things like
the Secret Service use with your buddy outside in the car!
8. Yup, just put it back when you're done, and don't write in it.

Cheers,

Scott

Subject: Questions about CCIE lab environment

Forgive me if these have been answered already, but can you please tell me
the following?

1. What is the start time and end time of the lab?
2. How long is the lunch break and what time does that start?
3. Can you take bathroom breaks?
4. Can you bring colored markers or do you have to use their colored pencils
(which I find too light to read).
5. How many proctors are there?
6. What happens if one test taker is hogging up the proctor - do you have to
wait an hour to ask him your question?
7. Can you bring ear plugs?
8. Are you allowed to unbind the lab book so you can look at the diagrams
without flipping back and forth?

Thanks for your responses...
