I totally agree with that, having experienced the same phenomenon. I think
the key here is knowing the technology so well that most of it is "second
nature", or some called it...."low hanging fruit". Also, remember that one
person's "6", would be another person's "2", and another person's "10".

A phenomenon known as "Lab related vapor lock of the brain". Two of
the tasks I was unable to solve... I solved one while waiting at a
stop light on my way to the airport. The second popped in my head the
following morning. Both were things I knew but for whatever reason my
two brain cells misfired during the exam and I could not come up with
the solution to save my life.
