Unfortunately, network statement wildcard masks are not the same as
access-list wildcards. The
network statement wildcard just appears to be an inverse mask - the range
covered in the network statement needs to be contiguous.
Rack1R3(config-router)#network 0.0.1.0 255.255.254.255 area 1
OSPF: Invalid address/mask combination (discontiguous mask)
