Here is a link I got from Brian M. about how to use AUX port. It works
well.

I would recommend saving the trouble and frustration and just buying a
2500 on ebay for 50 bucks that has two ethernet ports on it. :)

How about using the aux ports with a rollover cable and configure a
tunnel between them. I saw a document on INTERNETWORKEXPERT web site
showing you how to do this.

No, it cannot be an Ethernet port. I don't know the scenario you're
using but can you just create loopback interfaces for the missing LAN
subnets?

Subject: Using AUX port as Ethernet Interface

Hi,

May be this is not a good question but I just want to check that if
there is some way that I can use AUX port on the router as Ethernet
port? Actually I have R4 and R5 in my home lab as per IE lab work book
but these two have only one Ethernet Interface but in the IE Lab they
have two, so I wonder of some how I can use AUX port, if you know please
write back or send me the link of the document that may help in this
regard.

Regards

Mohammad Zahid Saeed
