Well, if the silver/gold partner does not have the CCIE on staff, kinda
defeats the purpose of being a gold/silver partner... It's a "paper
partner" :)

No offense, but that is completely false. Cisco will be more than
willing to honor your CCIE number as long as it is tied up with one
company for a certain amount of time. You are not allowed to contract
it out to more than one company at one time.
Feel free to contact your local Cisco rep or regional manager, and the
CCIE department at Cisco. Both of those sources have stated the above.
The going rate in Chicago a while back was $5-10k for 3-6 months. Not
really profitable IMO.

Dave,
Be careful, you will get your CCIE stripped from you if they find out.

Lee.

Hi there
A question about CCIE number.
If a company wants to have a CCIE on their books for Gold or Silver
acredditation (and may be offer some work to the CCIE) what is a
reasonable price for the CCIE to Charge the company?
Thanks
Dave
